Challenge: Establishing the First Commercial Digital Archiving System in Croatia
In collaboration with FINA, TIS Grupa, as part of a consortium with partner company Neos, successfully developed and implemented the eArhiv system.
This system was designed to seamlessly integrate with FINA’s internal and external systems (e-Services), providing a comprehensive archiving solution for legal entities and individuals.
The project’s primary goal was to establish the first commercial digital archiving system in Croatia, enabling efficient and secure storage, retrieval, and management of digital content.
Project Timeline and Scope
The initial development phase lasted from July 2016 to April 2017, but the collaboration continued, with TIS Grupa actively participating in the system’s maintenance and upgrades. Despite tight deadlines, the project was completed, delivering a robust and reliable solution.
The project scope included:
- Database business model design and integration with IBM FileNet Content Manager as the content repository.
- Development of a J2EE web interface for archiving, retrieval, metadata management, and administration.
- Building user administration modules and additional system functionalities.
- Implement over 20 web service integration methods to ensure interoperability with other FINA systems and e-services.
